CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
At 9:00 am for youth.

Adult classes resumed on September 11th at 9:15 am with study on the book of Romans. Romans is considered to be the Apostle Paul’s greatest theological work. Class will be taught by Pastor Pedersen. Phil Karrmann, who has been teaching the adult Sunday school, will resume the study on the gospel of Matthew sometime after the new year. All are welcome!

Thursday morning Adult Bible Study
On January 5th, the 10:00 am Thursday morning Bible Study will be starting the study on 1 Peter. This book encourages Christians in difficult times and also gives instruction for Christian living. Everyone is welcome!

Fellowship of Christian Athletes
All college students are invited to join Pastor Petersen for this informal gathering each Thursday at 12:00 noon in the UW-P Student Center M-Rooms for pizza, Bible study, and fellowship starting Thursday, September 8th.

Communion Bread Bakers
As Jesus had his 12 disciples, we are looking for 12 bread bakers interested in making bread twice a year - recipe available. Please contact Pastor Pedersen

Fair Trade Coffee, Tea & Chocolate
These are available for purchase in the church office. Whole bean decaf, French roast, mind Body & soul, Ethiopian and various flavored varieties are available along with dark chocolate truffle bars, milk chocolate crunch bars, baking cocoa and hot chocolate drink mix.

ANNUAL MEETING
Sunday January 29 at 9am

The annual meeting of the Lutheran Church of Peace is in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone having an item for the agenda is asked to contact Council President, Mark Mandurano.

Congratulations to the following new Council and Trust Fund members:
Congregation Council - Anna Pennington, Stacie Osterholz, Peter Melby, Glenn Korb, and Barb Bratton.
Trust Fund - John Poller and Mark Mandurano.

Council will reorganize after the annual meeting on January 29th. Trust Fund will reorganize at their January 18th meeting. Installation of Council and Trust Fund will take place on February 12th during all worship services that weekend.

MISSISSIPPI VALLEY REGIONAL BLOOD DRIVE
Tuesday, February 14th, 3:00 - 6:00 pm

Our next blood drive with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Drive Center will take place in the Fellowship Hall.

If you can help out during that time, please contact Terrie. We are looking for workers for registration table, treat table, and donations of treats; cookies, bars, soda, juice.

A WINTER RETREAT
Join us the weekend of Friday, February 3rd through Sunday, February 5th - 2012 at Deer Valley Lodge, 401 West Industrial Drive, Barneveld, Wisconsin for a Winter Retreat entitled, “Hurdles of Faith” with Pastor Pedersen. What are your hurdles of faith? Rooms includes breakfast each morning and water park passes.
Cost for the weekend would be: (2-night stay)
• 1 Person per room $208
• 2 People per room $104 each
• 3 People per room $ 69.35 each
• 4 People per room $52.00 each
