Thessalonians Class
There is an exciting adult education opportunity coming up during the Sunday school hour starting on January 10th.

Phil Karrmann will be teaching a class on 1 & 2 Thessalonians. These letters were written by the Apostle Paul to the church of Thessalonica. This is an ancient city on the north shore of the Aegean Sea. The church of Thessalonica was established approximately three years before Paul wrote these letters. The letters have a focus on Christian maturity and the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Phil Karrmann is a lawyer having offices in Platteville and Cuba City. He is also a Bible scholar and theologian. All are welcome to attend what will be a very interesting class.

Playground Fundraiser
We are  pleased to offer  delicious locally made gourmet dip mixes, soup mixes and gifts for online purchase that will be shipped right to your door.  They are perfect  for your own personal use as well as for gifts. Proceeds from this fundraising effort will help us in our many missions.

We will be providing samples and selling periodically in the Narthex and through the church office. Thank you in for your support!

Anyone having an item for the agenda is asked to contact Council President, Willard Pulkrabek.

WINTER RETREAT at Heartwood Resort
February 5-7, near Trego, WI

Please join us for our second annual winter retreat at Heartwood resort and convention center. This year’s theme is, "The Holy
Spirit".

Trego is located in the north woods where we take our annual canoe trips down the Namekagon River. There are plenty of opportunities: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, relaxing in front of a fireplace, and being in a luxurious place in the middle of the woods. This will be faith stimulating and will allow a chance for fellowship with others.

Cost (payment due January 22):
1 person per room x 2/nights $151 + $15 meals = $166
2 people per room x 2/nights $76 + $15 meals = $91 each
4 people per room x 2/nights $40 + $15 meals = $55 each

If you would like to go, registration forms are in the narthex and need to be into the church office by January 21. We carpool from the church parking lot. Snowshoe & ski rentals are available at no cost; compliments of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

BLOOD DRIVE
Tuesday, Feb 16, 3pm-6pm

Our next blood drive with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Drive Center will take place in the Fellowship Hall.

Our last drive in August was our first drive here at Lutheran Church of Peace. We saw 15 people and were able to draw 10 units of blood providing patients with as many as 30 blood products! Thank you so much!
Our goal this year is to see 20 people with at least 15 pints of blood drawn. Mark your calendars and join us for our second drive!
